SmarterGardens is a Hydroponic indoor farm located in a former manufacturing facility in Columbia, TN. We grow Leafy Greens and Culinary Herbs. We sell to specialty retail stores, health oriented and fine restaurants, and directly to the public from the Farm and via our booth at the Nashville Farmers' Market. Our team is passionate about cultivating the highest quality produce.

SmarterGardens employs hydroponic techniques for growing fresh produce. We use organic NON-GMO seeds, organic nutrients, in a highly controlled environment. Hydroponic farming uses 95% less water than traditional farming techniques. Harvested crops are naturally very clean because there is no soil used in the growing process. Hydroponic “New School Urban Farming” is truly farm-to-table, the produce is harvested at the optimum time and consumed literally within days. We are an indoor farm that yields produce 365 days a year.

We do our best to keep this guide accurate, but farming is a dynamic occupation, things change fast. It is a good idea to call and verify any of the information in this guide before you plan a trip to a farm. Also, please be considerate. The farms in this guide are working farms as well as residences in many cases. If you think of yourself more as a valued guest than a customer you'll have a great experience.
