I recently signed up Avalon Acres Winter CSA program and received a thank you email for my commitment. The email truly made me realize that not only do I greatly benefit from the CSA program, so do the farmers, their family and the community we all live in.
Tim and Jennifer Bodner of Avalon Acres shared, “when you purchase food from the grocery store 9 cents of every dollar goes to a farmer. When you purchase food from us (Avalon Acres), over 50-75 cents of every dollar goes directly to a farmer. Your support is very real, tangible, immediate and directly impacts local farming, the local community and the lives of middle Tennessee farmers.
