Local Choice

While I was waiting for a table during the busy brunch hour at Marche the other weekend, I browsed their small market areas looking for treats to take home. These notecards instantly caught my eye… 

Yee-Haw Industries (love the name) create their beautiful and funky letterpress notecards in Knoxville, Tennessee. Julie Belcher of Yee-Haw Industries, found her inspiration and detail from local farmer’s markets when creating these designs.  Julie’s attention to detail, combined with the deep colors and the texture of the notecards make the vegetables pop from the card.  

The notecards are printed on natural recycled paper and are accompanied by recycled kraft envelops. And, their website, yeehawindustries.com, features even more vegetable and fruit letter-pressed notecards; along with posters (I am coveting a poster from the Knoxville farmer’s market), apparel, journals, and calenders.

Truth be told, my notecards may never be used to send best wishes to friends. I think I will keep them on my inspiration wall of my office to remind me of the bright fruits and vegetables of the farmer’s market.
